COME PLAY FALL BALL WITH THE MINNESOTA HEAT

Fall basketball is an excellent warm-up for the winter season. Teams play in the MYAS Fall League on 4 consecutive Sundays—the last 2 in September and first 2 in October; plus games at the Minnesota Heat Fall Jamboree and participation in two Heat Skill Clinics (dates TBD). All MYAS games will be at the same location.

LOCATIONS won’t be announced until after tryouts. Teams will practice once a week in the New Brighton area.

Minnesota Heat will form teams in grades 4 - 12. 3rd graders can try out for 4th grade teams. We will attempt to place every player on a team based on player numbers/skill levels and coach availability, but make no guarantees.

The following TRYOUT SESSION will take place to form teams. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY FALL BALL, PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND THE TRYOUT.

TRYOUT DATE: AUGUST 28, 2010
HIGHVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL, NEW BRIGHTON MN
BOYS 4 - 7 Grades: 10:00am – 11:30am
BOYS 8 -12 Grades: 12:00pm – 2:00pm

PLAYERS AND PARENTS PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- REGISTRATION, WAIVER FORMS MUST BE PRESENTED AT TRYOUTS. Click here to print Fall 2010 form: FALL REGISTRATION AND ALL WAIVERS.
- ONLY PLAYERS, COACHES AND EVALUATORS MAY ATTEND TRYOUTS
- TEAMS WILL BE POSTED ONE WEEK AFTER TRYOUTS
- ALL FEES MUST BE PAID AT TRYOUTS – NO EXCEPTIONS! Full fee is $210, which includes the $200 season fee and $10 tryout fee.
- NO PLAYER WILL BE PLACED ON A TEAM WITHOUT FULL PAYMENT. Season fee ($200) will be refunded to anyone not placed on a team.

- If you are unable attend the tryout session, email us BEFORE TRYOUT DATE. We’ll do our best to get you placed.

MN Heat Teams Finish Strong at AAU

Congratulations to Minnesota Heat Elite 16U, and both the Minnesota Heat 15U Premier teams for finishing in their Final Four at AAU State. Heat 16U Elite took 2nd in the top 16U bracket, and Minnesota Heat Premier 15U Red took third over Minnesota Heat Premier 15U Black in a closely contested game (57-54) in the 15U top bracket. Great finishes to all three teams. Go Heat!


Multiple MN Heat Teams Qualify for AAU State

Eau Claire/Heat's Tollefson Draws Attention

Congratulations to Spencer Tollefson from Eau Claire Memorial and Minnesota Heat for his commitment to play at D2 Northern Michigan next fall. Tollefson, a pre-med student, was also recently named Big Rivers Conference First Team and Player of the Year and Division I Honorable Mention All State from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.

Heat Player Commits to U of M Crookston

Congratulations to Minnesota Heat's Ryan Duxbury for committing to the University of Minnesota Crookston. Ryan, a 6-9 post, is the first Heat player in our history to commit to playing college basketball. Ryan played on our 17U Elite team last spring/summer. Congrats to Ryan, we'll be watching and cheering you on! Go Golden Eagles!
