Heat FALL LEAGUE Information HERE!

Fall Basketball is an excellent warm-up for the traveling winter/high school season. Heat participants will get:

4 weekends of game play
Fall Heat Jamboree (Heat vs Heat scrimmages)
1 Heat Skill clinic (2 hour fundamental skill work)


ALL GAME AND SKILL CLINIC LOCATIONS AND TIMES will be announced after tryouts.

Teams will practice once a week in the Moundsview School District area. Minnesota Heat will form teams in grades 4 -12. 3rd graders can try out for 4th grade teams. We will attempt to place every player on a team based on player numbers/skill levels and coach availability, but make no guarantees.The following TRYOUT SESSION will take place to form teams. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY FALL BALL, PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND THE TRYOUT.

TRYOUT DATE: AUGUST 27, 2011
HIGHVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL, NEW BRIGHTON MN
BOYS 4 -7 Grades: 11:00am –12:30am
BOYS 8 -12 Grades: 12:45pm –2:15pm
PLAYERS AND PARENTS PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
REGISTRATION, WAIVER FORMS MUST BE PRESENTED AT TRYOUTS
ONLY PLAYERS, COACHES AND EVALUATORS MAY BE IN THE GYM DURING TRYOUTS.
TEAMS WILL BE POSTED ONE WEEK AFTER TRYOUTS
ALL FEES MUST BE PAID AT TRYOUTS –NO EXCEPTIONS! Full fee is $215, which includes the $200 season fee and $15 tryout fee.
NO PLAYER WILL BE PLACED ON A TEAM WITHOUT FULL PAYMENT. Season fee ($200) will be refunded to anyone not placed on a team.
CHECKS PAYABLE TO MINNESOTA HEAT
If you are unable attend the tryout session, email either Willie (mnheathoops@gmail.com) or Biren (desa0080@gmail.com) BEFORE TRYOUT DATE. We’ll do our best to get you placed.

This one-day tournament offers an exciting, affordable opportunity to enhance individual and team skills. The smaller team size increases offensive and defensive opportunities for each player as well as encourages teamwork through basic fundamental team play! Entry deadline AUGUST 12th. Heat Bui 17s at Great Plains Alliance Tournament

This past weekend, Heat Bui 17s took a trip up to St. Cloud for a tune-up tournament before the kickoff the July US tour. The battle between Heat and Minnesota Select was a memorable one. Great job guys! Way to represent the Mn Heat real well! Here is the link to the story:

MINNESOTA HEAT ROSTERS ARE POSTED!

Minnesota Heat Boys 2011 rosters are posted! Please click on the teams/rosters button on the left side of the page to view all rosters. Players should hear from their coaches by the middle of this week. Because of the high volume of teams, players, and evaluation, Minnesota Heat Staff will not take any calls or emails regarding team placement.

REFUND POLICY: Please note that all checks are cashed immediately after tryouts.

For players not selected to teams, refunds will be mailed/issued back within 2 weeks after rosters are posted. PLEASE CONTACT JOE COLWELL AT JOE.MNHEATHOOPS@GMAIL.COM FOR ANY REFUND INQUIRIES.

Refunds for any other reason MUST be discussed with Heat directors before your players' 2nd practice. No refunds will be issued for players leaving Heat after the 2nd practice.

Every summer Irondale's Varsity Basketball staff hold skill camps, especially designed for boys in grades Grades 3 - 5, 6 - 8, and Grades 9 - 12. All camps are one week. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your fundamental skills and work to improve through instruction!

Heat's Kline is Strib Football Player of the Year

MN Heat Teams Finish Strong at AAU

Congratulations to Minnesota Heat Elite 16U, and both the Minnesota Heat 15U Premier teams for finishing in their Final Four at AAU State. Heat 16U Elite took 2nd in the top 16U bracket, and Minnesota Heat Premier 15U Red took third over Minnesota Heat Premier 15U Black in a closely contested game (57-54) in the 15U top bracket. Great finishes to all three teams. Go Heat!
